Ask Stephanie – The Cookie Edition on Jason Show TV
I appeared on the Jason show today talking about all things cookies. We did an “Ask Stephanie” Cookie edition and here were the answers.
Dawn – ANY AWESOME WAYS TO STOP CUTOUT COOKIES FROM SPREADING? I FEEL LIKE I’VE TRIED MOST “TRICKS”
Yes! Limit the amount of baking powder that gives cookies their spread. Also, Chill the cookies for 15 minutes in the refrigerator or freezer before hitting the hot oven.
Christine – DO YOU HAVE ANY QUICK AND EASY COOKIES TO MAKE?
Yes! These chocolate cookie crinkles taste amazingly like brownies and are easy to put together.
Also – Peanut Butter Blossoms can be made with three ingredients and lastly who doesn’t love a good shortbread? These slice and bake are as easy and delicious as it gets.
Also, the local Minnesota Makers at Baking It Real Kits have a cookie kit box that makes 4 dozen cookies and has everything pre-measured and set for you. It’s easy to do with kids or take to the cabin for a fun baking event.
Michelle – I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A DATE COOKIE RECIPE YOU COOK IN THE OVEN UNTIL GOOEY AND YOU REMOVE AND ROLL IN SUGAR. HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT.
I think you may be talking about Date Balls. These were cookies that were popular with our moms and grandmas.
Linda – WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COOKIE TO MAKE, STEPHANIE?
I love making the rolled out sugar cookies because it reminds me of making them with my mom. I also love the memory of making Corn Flake Wreaths at Girl Scouts. Here are 12 Christmas Cookies that give me all the nostalgic feels.
