Slow Cooker Red Cabbage with Apples, Onions and Caraway

The CrockPot and Instant Pot are great for Meatless Monday meals or stewed meats, soup, and beans, of course, but don’t forget the side dishes! This slow cooker Red Cabbage with apples goes great with Pork Chops or Pork Loin. If you don’t have enough apples, you can toss in a pear, or you can mix up the flavors by adding Star Anise (keep it whole and discard before serving) and Asian Pears instead of the Apples and Caraway Seeds.

I make this in the crock pot and freeze it in two-cup portions to serve as a side dish for pork loin, pork chops or roast
