Tarragon Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Recipe
We did a segment on my radio show, Weekly Dish (Saturdays from 9-11 on @mytalk1071 with Stephanie March), celebrating National Ranch Day on March 10 and I shared my “famous” buttermilk ranch dressing recipe. Who knew ranch was so popular?
Here it is. So you can pour it on everything.

Tarragon Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 - 3/4 c buttermilk
- 2-3 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp finely dry tarragon - Note you can also use fresh tarragon, dill, parsley, chives or celery leaves (or a combination)
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced with a microplane grater
- 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
- Lemon juice to taste (I sometimes grate the zest in there too. You are looking for a lemony pop not sour)
- Few dashes Tabasco
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients into a mason jar. Shake.
- Open, taste, season to taste with salt and plenty of fresh black pepper.
- Seal, and shake again.
