Do you know what October 1st means? It’s CROCKTOBER Friends! Yes, my favorite month is here, and I am going to unleash a torrent of the crockpot and Instant Pot (because you know its a slow cooker too right?) recipes for your enjoyment, starting with this easy but delicious slow cooker apple cider. Not only is it tasty and delicious and perfect for Halloween or Fall parties but it makes your whole house smell fragrant and like all the best things of Fall.

- 1-gallon Honey Crisp apple cider
- 1 ½ cups Jack Daniels Fire Cinnamon whiskey
- ½ cup caramel
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 6 Star Anise
- 3 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
In a slow cooker, combine apple cider, whiskey, caramel, Nutmeg, Star Anise, and 3 cinnamon sticks, . Cook on low until warmed through, about 2-3 hours.
Serve with a cinnamon stick.
Note this recipe makes a large batch. You can use a half gallon of cider and half the ingredients for a 4 person serving
