This 3-ingredient Peanut Butter S’mores Skillet is the easiest halftime dessert ever. Gooey marshmallows, melty peanut butter cups and graham crackers for dipping.

Let’s be honest about game day. Nobody at my house is watching the halftime show for the music. They’re watching the kitchen. Somewhere around the end of the second quarter, the wings are gone, the guacamole bowl has been scraped with a chip and people start wandering toward the counter with that look. The is there anything sweet? look.
This is the answer. Three ingredients, one skillet, zero skill required. You dump in a pound of mini peanut butter cups, top them with a pound of marshmallows, slide it into the oven, and 15-20 minutes later you pull out a bubbling, golden, gooey situation that makes grown adults (Kurt) hover over it with a graham cracker like it’s the last possession of the game.
It’s campfire s’mores without the campfire, the mosquitoes, or the uncle who insists on setting every marshmallow on fire. Here in Minnesota, when football season means sweatshirts and the cabin firepit is closing up for the year, this is how I keep s’mores season going all winter long.

Why This Recipe Works
- Only three ingredients. Peanut butter cups, marshmallows, graham crackers. That’s the whole grocery list.
- Peanut butter cups do double duty. You get the chocolate and the peanut butter in one melty layer, so there’s no need for separate chocolate bars.
- It’s hands-off. Assemble it before kickoff, bake it during the fourth quarter of the first half, and serve it right at halftime.
- It’s made for a crowd. Everyone dips from the same skillet, which means no plating, no forks and very few dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped
- 1 lb large marshmallows
- 24 graham crackers, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Layer the peanut butter cups. Place the peanut butter cups in an even layer on the bottom of a large oven-safe skillet.
- Add the marshmallows. Arrange the marshmallows in a single layer on top.
- Bake. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the marshmallows are puffed and golden brown.
- Serve. Serve warm with graham crackers for dipping.

Tips for the Best S’mores Skillet
- Unwrap the peanut butter cups first or do what I did and buy the unwrapped minis. It sounds obvious, but a pound of minis is a lot of tiny wrappers
- Watch the marshmallows at the end. Ovens vary, so start checking around 15 minutes. You want toasty golden, not charcoal.
- Want a darker top? Switch to the broiler for the last 30 to 60 seconds, and do not walk away. Marshmallows go from golden to flambé faster than a fumble returned for a touchdown.
- Cast iron is your friend. It holds heat, which keeps the dip gooey longer while people graze. Just remember the handle is hot and warn your guests.
- Break the graham crackers into squares. Smaller pieces mean more scooping and fewer cracker casualties in the dip.
- Mix up the dippers. Pretzel rods, apple slices, strawberries and vanilla wafers are all great alongside the graham crackers.

FAQ
Can I make a s’mores skillet ahead of time?
You can assemble it a few hours ahead and keep it covered at room temperature. Bake it right before serving so the marshmallows are hot and gooey.
What size skillet should I use?
A 10- to 12-inch oven-safe skillet works best for a pound each of peanut butter cups and marshmallows. Cast iron is ideal, but any oven-safe skillet or baking dish will do.
Can I use regular-size peanut butter cups?
Yes. Unwrap them and cut them in half or quarters so they melt evenly.
Can I use mini marshmallows?
You can, but they brown faster, so start checking at about 10 minutes. Large marshmallows give you that big, puffy, toasted top.
How do I reheat leftovers?
Pop the skillet back in a 350°F oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or microwave individual portions in short bursts. (Leftovers are rare. Just saying.)
How many people does this serve?
It serves about 10-12 as a shared halftime dessert, depending on how aggressive your dippers are.
