Leftover fried rice that we amended with ground pork. I served it as lettuce wraps with garden lettuce, quick pickled carrots and a garden cuke. A bit of garden basil and green onions chopped with a leftover green onion ginger salsa and some condiments. Boom.

The three little babies from round 2. This makes 6 robin babies that have grown on my deck. I swear the Robin looks pregnant again. Is it possible that a robin has 3 broods in a season? #nature
Ely Hilltop Garden July 2021. After the big storm that cancelled the Blueberry Arts Festival and destroyed 70 % of the artists tents. Waiting for power. Clean up begins.
Dill Kraut with two of my garden cabbages. 1 head left for slaw and one still in the garden. I did a dry brine with salt, dill and garlic. I used weights on some and some new fermenting caps on others to see how that works.

Pork chop marinated in pomegranate molasses, sesame oil, soy sauce, maple syrup and rice vinegar with sugar snap peas and sesame seeds (recipe in #truenorthcabincookbook October 2022) and #elyhilltopgarden Kale and Swiss Chard sautéed with garlic, red pepper flakes and lemon juice.
They call Lake Superior the Caribbean of the North because the water is so clear. I am always a little terrified of her but man she is a beauty on a good day.
