Easter Curbside Take Out for Eating In

Usually, when Easter rolls around I am talking about Lamb dishes and Coconut Cakes. Peeps dioramas, new peep flavors and cooking eggs in the Instant Pot have all been sidelined with mask making, do it yourself hand sanitizer recipes and the Coronavirus has put a crimp in the family plans. I will be spending Easter with one versus the usual group of 8-10 that I cook for.  To be honest the idea of cooking my whole usual Easter menu seems a little sad so this year I am going to order take out and help support one of our local restaurants and their families. Here is my take out Easter Picks.

East Side:

Baldamar is Randy Stanley’s latest restaurant in the Rosedale Center parking lot. What I love about this spot is the food is fantastic and the menu is priced per person. I also love all the breakfast items they have on the menu so it can be a serious brunch play. Each order includes, Bread and cinnamon caramel rolls, chef’s salad, and fruit, then prime rib, ham, French toast, scrambled eggs, or tortellini with sides of bacon, sausage, and more. It’s $24 per adult, $12 for kids. Pre-order by April 10, pick up Easter Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Cossetta is offering a fabulous feast! 8 pound double smoked ham half glazed, scalloped potatoes, spinach cranberry salad, green beans 2 house-made French baguettes and their award-winning Tiramisu pastry which is reason enough to order.  This is dinner for 8 for $120. Pre-order by Friday, April 10th and schedule your pick-up upon request through Saturday, April 11th. Call Cossetta’s Italian Market at 651-222-3476 to order.

DeGidio’s the family that runs DeGidios are excellent people and great community partners in St Paul. If Ham and eggs arent your jam go for  .DeGidio’s heat & serve meal kits. Spaghetti & Meatballs, $49, Lasagna & Salad, $69, Mostaccioli & Sausage, $49, or Tortelloni Bolognese & Burrata, $59. These meals feed 4-6 people and all come with a garlic baguette, chocolate chip cookies, and instructions on how to easily heat them up. They are available for Curbside, 4-8 pm for Delivery, and you can order through Saturday, April 11th.

The Lexington Easter pick up dinner is a traditional service and features sliced maple-glazed ham, green beans almondine, scalloped potatoes, house mixed green salad, 8 house rolls with butter and carrot cake.  The portions here serve 4 for $100 and pick-up is Saturday, April 11 from 1-4 pm or Easter Sunday from 9 am-Noon. Call (651) 289-4990 to order.

West Side:

Bellecour is always a west side favorite. Whether its Gavin Kaysen’s pedigree or Diane Moua’s excellent pastry and bakery – Holiday celebrations shine with Bellecour. Order a full Easter dinner or go a la carte: dinner serves 4 to 6 with sliced maple and mustard glazed Easter ham, Pommes puree, glazed carrots, broccoli, gravy, rolls and coconut cream pie for $155. A la carte, order a dozen deviled eggs, whole spinach, and gruyere quiche, or any of the sides. Order by Friday, April 10, for Easter, pick up.

Central:

Red Cow is offering pick up at their Uptown location on Hennepin Avenue.. Dinner is ham ($129) or beef tenderloin ($179), with cheesy Gouda hash browns, green bean casserole, roasted carrots, shallots-and-chili honey creme fraiche, French bread with garlic butter, and carrot cake. Serves four to seven people. Pick up on April 10 or 11 and add a cocktail kit of either Fresno Strawberry Margaritas, Bloody Marys, Moscow Mules or Old Fashioneds.  Order online at Redcowmn.com

I love The Oceanaire crabcake. I think its the best in town. While this menu doesn’t scream Easter necessarily it does scream delicious. The meal includes a jumbo shrimp cocktail and a 6-ounce filet mignon paired with four crab cakes, plus sides of asparagus, lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, and mashed potatoes. Key Lime Pie for dessert. Dinner for four is $150. Call 612-333-2277 to order.

Patisserie 46 offers an amazing Easter brunch menu for two for $60 or for 4 for $125. The menu includes 4 slices of quiche (Lorraine or veggie), 4 croissants, 6 hot cross buns, 6 butter rolls, a jar of apricot jam, 2 praline eggs, 2 lollipops, 1 package of Sunnyside filled caramel eggs and a 6 piece box of bonbons order online by April 9 for pickup Saturday or Easter Sunday.

Easter Chocolates:

One of my favorite local chocolatiers is offering St Paul made Easter truffles. I will be ordering Curbside pick up here for the ladies in my life and you should too!  Celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring with handmade chocolates from Chocolat Celeste.   Fill your favorite bunny’s basket with Caramelia Bunny Bonbons, Easter Butter Brickle Eggs, and other velvety chocolate truffles. The Chocolat Celeste Boutique on Transfer Road in Saint Paul will be accepting orders to be picked up.  Please order and pay online.  A notification will be sent when the order is ready for pick-up.  The boutique is open for pick-up on Friday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM.  Ring the doorbell when you arrive and we will hand you your order.
