Whole 30 day 7.
I made it through a weekend without wine! I feel great about that. Today my energy went back up. I had breakfast (which is the easiest meal for me to have eating out on whole 30) @redrabbitmn and they made a great #mocktail – don’t be afraid to do it. I said – I want a cocktail, no sugar other than fruit juice but feel free to use, herbs, fruit , bitters, soda water etc. I had a week’s worth of meals from the @projectvibrancymeals plan (which is great if you need help organizing, shopping etc) I only needed a little help next week as I have an entire #whole30 refrigerator to eat. I made a green Verde sauce to have on fish or shrimp and to jazz up the pork carnitas from last week I need to finish ( I froze the rest.) I also made her red sauce (so I can make #shakshuka ) and I made her meatballs to go in the tomato sauce too. The meatball recipe was great – no filler, lots of parsley, cilantro and onion with paprika, curry, garlic and salt. I had the whole family for dinner and lamb shoulder was on sale so I asked them to cut it into stew meat @wholefoods is so good about that. This lamb stew recipe is from the 60’s and in the New York Times cookbook. I dredged with almond flour, salt pepper and browned. Then you add garlic, a can of beef consume, 1/3 cup sherry and bake for 90 minutes covered. Uncover the last 15 minutes, add 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/4 cup parsley. I served on noodles for family and spinach for me. Made5 workouts thus week and feeling strong heading into week 2!
